I offer bow rehairs for violin, viola, cello, and bass. I inspect every bow for damage, then clean and polish before rehairing, using only the finest Mongolian horsehair, all to ensure your bow is in peak condition when you pick it up. Turnaround time is generally 24 hours or less and is by appointment only.
I also offer some routine repair services such as eyelets, headplates, silk and silver windings, pearl slides and eyes, thumb leathers of various materials, and the occasional more advanced repair. For customers seeking extensive restoration work (i.e., chevals, headsplines, etc.), I am happy to recommend more suitable bow specialists for the task.
Rehair Prices 2025*

I regularly perform repairs and set-ups on violins, violas and cellos with a general turnaround of a week or less. These type of jobs typically involve tasks such as seam gluing, fingerboard dressings, cutting a new bridge, new soundpost, new pegs, tonal adjustments, varnish retouch, and much more.
Unfortunately, I cannot accept upright basses, as I have neither the workshop space nor the tools to work on them. I am happy to recommend several local luthiers who specialize in bass. I will, however, happily rehair bass bows.

If you are in possession of a damaged instrument that you believe to be worthy of a full-scale restoration project, feel free to get in touch. The challenge and complexity of these projects can require several months to complete.
